Colombiage is delighted to announce the visit of one of Colombia’s most renowned writers and poets, William Ospina.
Ospina will be taking part in the launch of Poetry Parnassus, an ambitious project led by Simon Armitage as part of his artistic residency at the Southbank Centre. A poet from every competing Olympic country is invited to read and perform their work at a unique congregation in 2012. Next week will see phase one of …the project as part of the prestigious Poetry International Festival.

Anne Carson is one of the most celebrated poets writing today, whose most recent collection is Nox. William Ospina is one of the most distinguished figures in Colombian poetry. Kapka Kassabova’s poetry reflects her shifting homelands, as in her recent collection Geographies for the Lost. Mimi Khalvati’s latest collection is The Meanest Flower. Bill Manhire has won the New Zealand Book Award for Poetry four times and his latest collection is Lifted. Togara Muzanenhamo’s poetry travels between familiar and unfamiliar worlds in his collection Spirit Brides.
