Discovering Latin America Film Festival : 18-28 Nov.

The 9th edition of the Discovering Latin America Film Festival will take place from 18 – 28 November 2010.

Discovering Latin America is a charitable organisation that seeks to improve the livelihood of underprivileged people in Latin America by sharing Latin American culture, art and creativity with European audiences. Our film festival offers a unique opportunity to help charity and experience Latin America’s diversity through e…xtraordinary films.

This year’s event will benefit Salcet, a UK registered charity seeking the relief of poverty, sickness, distress and the preservation of good health of children who are suffering as a result of earthquakes and other natural disasters in El Salvador.

The festival will bring a wide variety of brilliant feature films and shorts, as well as exciting documentaries spanning the whole political spectrum, thrilling retrospectives, thought-provoking master-classes, and enthralling discussions with film directors and many other events! The world—acclaimed Argentine director, Daniel Burman, and the enchanting Mexican actress Ana de la Reguera will be with us during the festival…

Our multi-faceted festival is different because it makes a difference. We not only have the most cutting-edge film programme going but our non-political organisation also supports the underprivileged people of Latin America, and we will be helping SALCET in El Salvador to create a new, much-needed drainage system. By coming to our film events, you will not only be watching the best films of Latin America. You will be supporting a worthy cause.
