¡Viva! Spanish & Latin American Film Festival :5th -27th March(Manchester)

WELCOME to the 17th edition of ¡Viva! Spanish & Latin American Film Festival, bringing films from across Spain and Spanish-speaking Latin America to the heart of Manchester.

Throughout March we’ll bring you an exciting array of cinematic delights specially selected by our festival team. Look out for screenings accompanied by insightful introductions from local film experts or lively debates with the filmmakers themselves.

Features this year include sumptuous Mexican period piece Arráncame la vida, Spanish satirical comedy Gordos, Argentinean coming-of-age tale with a twist El último verano de la Boyita, and a moving documentary made with Pablo Escobar’s son Los Pecados de mi padre.

Don’t miss the Cine en Construcción strand, an exciting selection of Latin American films programmed by our festival partner, Instituto Cervantes.

We are also proud to be continuing our new tradition of taking ¡Viva! into Cornerhouse galleries, with an exhibition from leading Colombian artist Oscar Muñoz. Join us at the opening of Oscar Muñoz: Biografias on Fri 4 March at 18:00 to start the festival in style!

We look forward to seeing you there! ¡Disfrutad el festival!
