2011 Canning House essay competition

Canning House is delighted to announce the 5th ANNUAL ESSAY COMPETITION is now underway. The deadline for submissions has now been extended to 1 April 2011.The theme for this year’s entries is “Where do I belong? Regional Identity in Latin America and/or Iberia.”

The competition is open to students aged 17-19, both those who are learning Spanish or Portuguese as a foreign language and those from diaspora communities in the UK. Entrants are required to write an essay of 750-1,000 words in Spanish or Portuguese related to this year’s topic:”Where do I belong? Regional Identity in Latin America and/or Iberia.”

There will be exciting prizes in both language categories ranging from cash prizes to return flights to a Latin American country of the winners choice!

The deadline for submissions has now been extended to 1 April 2011.
