Venezuelan Short Films Evening : 9th June , including the Reformer, Free, Mayor o menor, PB, Rigor mortis. Come and join us for this free film night at the Bolivar Hall in London.

  • The Reformer
    From the deep underground the huge figure of The Reformer 63 emerges, a deformed being that belongs to an organisation of humanoids that live underground.  The character has been locked away for with Clara, a young victim of his missions.  After emerging into the world, the character drifts around the city centre and is then traced by the head of operations of the underground organisation who is in charge of establishing order on the surface.  The head of operations gives instructions to other reformers to capture 63.  63 is found and taken unconscious to the clinic.  When he wakes up, all his memories have been erased. He is then freed and reprogrammed with a new mission but suddenly, the memory of Clara comes back, whose image haunts him more and more.

  • Free
    “Free” is the story of Romero and Junior, two convicted criminals kept in two adjoining cells in a dark prison. When the guard finishes his usual round, the two make a mysterious tool. From two shoe laces they make a long cord and tie a nut on one end.

  • Mayor o Menor
    Miguel and his friends gathered to spend some time together. Everything is going well until they run out of drinks and one of them has to go for some more. In order
    to do that, they resort to the game they used to play to decide their arguments: 
    a playing card over the table, the one who plays must guess if the next card will be  a higher or a lower card. Miguel loses so he has to be the one to leave the game.
    What started as an ordinary night turns into a mixed up story in which a game of
    chance changes the course of their relationship. What would you chose? High or Low?

    Two funeral home workers try to steal an unusual valuable possession belonging to one of the dead bodies that arrives.  What they don’t reveal is that many other people have also have other plans. The genre of comedy chosen by Gladys Ariza in Rigor Mortis is aimed at an audience that enjoys short stories.
