Carnaval del Pueblo 2011 Officially Cancelled

Carnaval del Pueblo 2011 has been officially cancelled. The London-based carnival & its parade, Europe’s largest celebration of Latin American music, culture & gastronomy, will not happen this year. The carnival & its corresponding parade, which attract over 100,000 people every year to London to celebrate Latin America will no longer take place this year.

With the London 2012 Olympics taking over government decision making in the capital for the following summer, the carnival’s comeback could even see itself postponed until Summer 2013.
