The third annual Brazilian Festival in the grounds of Kelburn Castle, in Ayrshire, will be an extravaganza of bright costumes, pounding rhythms and exotic food and drink, evoking the infectious spirit of the South American country, say those behind the two day event on the 13th and 14th of August.

Topping the bill during the day is the renowned Ritmo Brazilian Dance Company, a troupe of professional dancers and choreographers formed in London in 2009 to promote Brazilian culture in Europe.
Also appearing is Glasgow’s own Samba Ya Bamba, a band that fuses traditional Samba with more contemporary styles such as Drum & Bass and Bhangra and the Fontanas, a Brazilian funk band.
Normal entry rates to the estate have been amended to reflect the added attractions. Adult rates for a daily pass will be £10 (£7 for under 17s) and £30 for a family ticket.
