Theatre 4 Identity is one of the many artistic movements created by the Argentinian Human Rights Association “Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo”. Theatre 4 Identity is an international initiative designed to draw attention to the plight of the disappeared people of Argentina. The ultimate goal is to find the grandchildren stolen from their families as babies by the Argentinian dictatorship of 1976.
The Calder Bookshop Theatre is proud to present, for the second year running a Theatre 4 Identity season following in the footsteps of Buenos Aires, Madrid and Barcelona.
Theatre 4 Identity 2012 sees the UK premier of “That strange kind of passion”, a play by the famous Argentinian playwright Susana Torres Molina, newly translated and adapted from the original Buenos Aires production.
