ART | Ecce Homo [Behold The Man]: 3 – 9 Nov. London

Action & Power is pleased to invite you to the opening of Ecce Homo (Behold the Man), on November 3rd 2012. The exhibition brings together the work of Benedict Romain, Bernat Millet, Bruno Jamaica, Francisco Ortega, Miguel Cabeza and Vinny Montag and will be open to the public on the 4th, 5th, 8th and 9th of November.
Ecce Homo are the Latin words used by Pontius Pilate as he presented a scourged Jesus Christ to a hostile crowd, shortly before his crucifixion. Pilate washed his hands in a gesture that became iconic in representing the surrender of responsibility.

Inspired by this biblical scene, Ecce Homo reflects the current socio-economic crisis and the subsequent global uncertainty. A world of unmasked blame emerges, where nobody is willing to take responsibility and everybody is asked to make sacrifices.

In this context, six artists take over the Mother Studios Project Space to create a multidisciplinary exhibition, in which they explore the impact of mankind and its responsibility for the ills of the world.

This is a show full of surprises that won’t leave you unmoved!
